Anonymous counselling for women
The non-profit volunteer organisation Joan-Søstrene (the Joan Sisters) is a feminist group, which was founded in the mid 1970s. The group consists of women of different educational background, employment and ages. We work to improve the legal status of women who have been exposed to violence, rape, incest or sexual harassment. We give lectures, teach and take part in discussions and in public debate with the intention of changing the attitude towards violence and gender-based assaults against women.
We can offer you:
Free counselling by phone or by personal appearance. We are anonymous and so are you. The counselling concerns your situation and the possibility of improving it. During the counselling session we inform you where you can obtain help and contact with psychologists, lawyers, self-help groups with women in the same situation as you or other forms of assistance.
